We hit our goal.

Around 4p.m. yesterday we hit our goal of 100 surveys completed. I didn’t know if it was possible, but I wanted one hundred. Truth is one hundred is just some arbitrary number I pulled out of the air. After one hundred it doesn’t make all the calculations and estimates easier or guarantee our future product will be successful, but it gives us hope that it will be. I want to thank those who filled out a survey, I know it took a little time out of your day and it might not be the most fun thing to do, but the data you provided will be extremely useful as we start drawing up a feasibility plan.

I want to give special thanks to those who went the extra mile- those helped get the word out and encouraged others to take part in our survey. Most notably I want to thank my uncle Matt, Jared, and Anya. Without you three I don’t think we could have even been near one hundred. Truth is, I was worrying other people I could ask to take my survey a few days ago, but every time someone told me they were going out of their way to get some extra submissions it gave me more hope. Yesterday, by far was the best. We started out the day with 71 surveys and now have ended with 101, that is thirty survey submissions in one day. I am extremely grateful, and now that I have seen that people are willing to help get others involved in something that is interesting and hopefully useful I have more confidence in the future of Bunchd.

One hundred survey submissions in just nine days, all I can say is ‘Wow’. It just proves how far social networks, e-mails to people that might be interested, and some extra work from those that have nothing to gain can go. For all of you extremely tired of seeing my shameless plugs about taking the survey in my facebook status messages, I am done for now.

For those of you more interested in Bunchd, our future communications web app, we are aiming for a release around one year from now. Another goal is to start beta period two or three months before this year from now release. A beta, for those of you that don’t know is an exclusive look at our product before its public release. It is meant to help find bugs and generate buzz around the product. We have a relatively short list of people that supplied their e-mail addresses with the survey that will make them a part of this ‘beta’. I believe this very small number is due to two factors: people not knowing what the term ‘beta’ entailed and people that did not want to associate an e-mail address with their survey results. If you would like to join this beta you have two options: you can leave a comment below stating your e-mail address (it will not be made public) or we will have a beta sign-up process a month or so before we launch Bunchd Beta.

Again, thank you for the amazing initial support you have given us these last few days,

Eric Dorsey
