One of the main reasons we went and launched a Blog, Welcome Page, and Survey for a site that won’t be finished for months is because we were competing in an Entrepreneurial Idea Competition at K-State. We needed to conduct a survey for the competition and we figured the best way to do it is the way we plan to initially market the product, virally through our friends, coworkers, and family. We believe if we build a product worth using we won’t need a big fancy ad campaign to get people to use. Users will use Bunchd if it makes their lives easier. Since we launched the survey in mid-March we have been preparing financial projections and a business feasibility plan based on the numbers gathered from the survey to meet the requirements of this competition. We turned the business plan in last Thursday, the 3rd of April and awaited a response. Finally today, April 7th we received an E-mail congratulating us on being one of the seven finalists in our division. We will present to panel of judges on Friday, April 10th and the winners will be announced that evening. We are keeping the timeless words of Ricky Bobby’s father in our minds during this competition, “If you’re not first, you’re last.”
